Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín

Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín is highly experienced with the wide spectrum of research focused on areas of personnel management, health care, engineering and special technology, materials engineering and ecology, but also technologies in the field of glass and ceramics. The university conducts research for domestic companies, e.g. VÚEZ, Zlate Moravce, RONA, Lednicke Rovne, Mikon, Puchov, HELLA, Ltd. Bánovce nad Bebravou, but also for foreign entities such as AGH University Krakow and Ceitec VUT Brno. The specific focus of its research is aimed at clusters and small and medium-sized enterprises at regional level. University took part in two international projects focused on cluster cooperation.

Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín is a young, fast growing university providing high-quality education in wide range of scientific disciplines focused on special technology, material and environmental engineering, management, regional economy, political science, healthcare, art and design in all three levels of higher education study – Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral. As any young institution of higher education, Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín is open, full of creative energy, ready to take on new challenges and to respond flexibly to the current needs of the society and the labor market. It is a significant center of science and research as well as of the human capital not only in the Trenčín Region but also in the common European Higher Education Area. The primary goal of the university is to enhance education through developing and fostering creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, teamwork and students' professionalism with respect to the labor market trends.

Faculty of Social and Economic Relations prepares students for careers in Personnel Management, Human Resource Management and Development as well as Economics and Management in Public Administration in the accredited Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs of study. The accredited programs of study focus not only on management and leadership, but also sociology, psychology and other humanities. The Faculty of Social and Economic Relations endeavors to provide graduates with advanced theoretical and technical knowledge, experience and skills so that they are able to deal with economic and social aspects related to employment issues in organizations in an effective and efficient manner.
